SPECIFICATIONS

MQ-9 GAS SENSOR MODULE

Sensitive material of MQ-9 gas sensor is SnO2, which with lower conductivity in clean air. It makes detection by method of cycle high and low temperature and detects CO when the low temperature (heated by 1.5V). The sensor’s conductivity is higher along with the gas concentration rising. When high temperature (heated by 5.0V), it detects Methane, Propane etc. combustible gas and cleans the other gases adsorbed under low temperature. Please use simple electro circuit, Convert change of conductivity to corresponding output signal of gas concentration. The MQ-9 gas sensor has high sensitivity to Carbon Monoxide, Methane and LPG. The sensor could be used to detect different gases contains CO and combustible gases, it is with low cost and suitable for different application.

CIRCUIT CONNECTION

Connect Relay’s GND to the breadboard negative rail and relay’s positive to positive rail.
Connect Relay’s Signal to pin D10 of Arduino uno.
Connect MQ-9 ground pin to negative rail and MQ-9 VCC to positive rail and MQ-9 AO to the A0 of Arduino uno
Connect RGB led ground to ground, red pin to digital pin13 of arduino, Arduino’s Digital pin 12 to blue pin of RGB and Digital pin 11 of Arduino uno to green pin of RGB led.
Connect Buzzer’s positive to positive rail and buzzer’s negative pin to Digital pin D8 of Arduino uno.

WORKING

You should fully test your device before installing it in your home. You can add any sensor that you like and turn of any device you like. I advise using a quality sensor that you know for sure will detect Carbon monoxide.

When we power up the circuit the green light will glow and when it detect the CO gas the connect device will turn off and red led will glow.
